The School Day

The Roseland Academy operates a two week timetable split into A and B weeks which cycle through the Academic year. The weeks are ongoing, for example, our last week before Half Term is Week A, we will return on Week B.

Students are issued their timetables at the start of the Academic year and we always start a new Academic year on Week A.

There are 5 one hour lessons per day with a 25 minute Tutor Period at the start of the day.

There is a 15 minute break in the morning and a 40 minute lunch break in the afternoon, when the weather is dry, students have access to all of the grassy field areas across the school. There is also the tennis courts and numerous areas of benches to sit during both these breaks. The Dining Hall is open selling hot and cold food for both break and lunch time and The Roseland Community Farm is open for students to visit the animals and help with their care.

During wet weather students are allocated specific rooms where they can relax during break times.
