Uniform Consultation

Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to our recent uniform consultation. We are pleased to let you know that due to the overwhelmingly positive views on our current uniform items and suppliers, there are no plans to change the Academy uniform. Please see the attached summary document for more detail on the responses we have received.

We do have some immediate actions. One of these is to ensure we can offer more second-hand uniform, as requested. We will be in touch about when this will be available. We continue to have uniform items that can be borrowed from Wellbeing in an emergency or after a forgetful early start, too.

Thank you for your continued support in helping all students to attend The Roseland Academy looking smart and adhering to our expectations.

Some reminders are shared below:

Shoes:

Must be plain black low-heeled formal shoes with black soles – no boots, trainers, casual shoes or shoes with high heels – no coloured laces, brand logos or markings. NO VANS/VANS STYLE TRAINERS.

Optional Uniform:
• Shorts – formal, plain black.
• Black jacket with embroidered logo. Separate styles for boys and girls.
• Outdoor coat – please consider warmth and visibility for winter months – hoodies, sweatshirts or jumpers are not considered an alternative to an outdoor coat.

Hair, Make-up and Jewellery:
• Hair should be clean, tidy and of a natural colour only. Extreme hairstyles are not permitted.
• Long hair should be tied back when requested for health and safety reasons.
• Make-up should be natural. Nail varnish is not to be worn.
• Eyelash or nail extensions are not permitted.
• A wrist watch and/or one plain small stud in each ear is permitted, all other jewellery is prohibited for health and safety reasons.
• Body piercing of any other type is not permitted.
