As you will know following last week’s press conference with the Prime Minister, all schools are remaining open unless advised by Public Health England to close.
The Roseland Academy, in line with other schools nationally, will remain open with increased vigilance around handwashing and cleanliness. We will make any adjustments as soon as further recommendations are forthcoming from Public Health England.
The latest update from the Government states:
‘Current advice remains in place: no education or children’s social care setting should close in response to a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 case unless advised to do so by Public Health England.’
Please follow the advice being given by the Government around self-isolation – if your child has flu like symptoms, a fever/temperature above 37.8 degrees or a persistent cough. If you are concerned about your child’s symptoms please go to 111.nhs.uk in the first instance.
The school has been and will continue to follow all Public Health England guidance as published:
If there is any change to this current guidance, parents and carers will be notified through our website, facebook, email and text service.
Thank you for your ongoing support and we are all seeking to do the right thing by keeping the school open for as long as the Government considers it safe to do so.
